THE WORLD IS DIRT RICH

If you are expecting to find a page telling you how great we are and how we offer the best services you won’t find it here. We do have some pretty cool equipment we developed that efficiently removes dirt from under a house. Getting dirt from A to B with small, simple equipment can be used for a much greater good than crawlspace excavation. Our main use for our equipment is to build villages, orphanages, schools, and the like in the developing world. Dirt is a natural resource even the poorest countries have and it is an incredible building material.

Clearing out your crawlspace of unwanted dirt is the proving grounds for the equipment to become better and it pays the bills so we love to do it. If you have a crawlspace that isn’t meeting code, or a home inspector isn’t able to access it, please give us a call. We will do the work most other contractors dread and you will be supporting those in need of strong and safe adobe style homes.

Matt works on one of his prototypes “Lil Olive” named after his daughter Olivia.

ABOUT MATT

Matt grew up manually digging out crawlspaces for his dad who was a contractor. That experience inspired him to go to college with the notion he would never crawl under a house again. After graduating with a business degree he went into advertising, then real estate, that then led to owning a winery. One day as he was researching how to build wine caves he stumbled upon a visionary architect and humanitarian named Nader Khalili. Nader developed a simple, cheap rammed earth process for building homes with dirt called SuperAdobe. That fateful google search sent Matt on a journey discovering the benefits and humble beauty of dirt as a building material.

He left the wine industry and came home to the PNW (the timber capital of the world ironically) to work on a mechanical process of building with dirt. He now smiles when crawling under houses, because these are the testing grounds for equipment that will have a small part in building a better world. – THE WORLD IS DIRT RICH
